For more than 15 years THYSOL has been running kinesiology taping courses all over the world under our trademark MTC®. Most of the MTC® courses are independent locally accredited courses offered to medical professionals. Our MTC® team of instructors works closely together gathering up-to-date information globally to ensure our courses present therapists with the latest medical development-related information available. In most countries CureTape® , VetkinTape® and Fasciq®is available to therapists and patients alike where local MTC® instructors run instructional courses. MTC® provides distinct training courses that are established under two primary divisions; Medical (human kinesiology applications) and Veterinary (equine/canine kinesiology applications).
MTC® Kinesiology Taping & Fascia Treatment Courses for Professionals

BASIC KINESIOLOGY TAPING
The kinesiology taping course: BASICS (MTC-1) is an introduction to the basic techniques in the application of neuromuscular taping. A number of common pathologies and disorders seen by physiotherapists, sport trainers, allied health professionals and medical personnel are addressed. The main focus of the course is on rehabilitation of sports injuries.
ADVANCED KINESIOLOGY TAPING
The kinesiology taping course: ADVANCED (MTC-2) is for those medical professionals that have completed the specialist MTC-1 course.
This course introduces new techniques for more complex conditions as well as for specific injuries. Includes a detailed review of the use of Crosslinq® patches and Curetape Punch ®.
Registration is open to physiotherapists, sports trainers and medical personnel who have previously completed a 15 hour course in neuromuscular taping.
SPORTS KINESIOLOGY TAPING
The athletic & sports taping course (MTC-application techniques for athletic/sports injuries) focuses on applications designed to accelerate the rehabilitation process for those patients or athletes who have suffered sports related injuries. This course is open to physiotherapists, sports trainers and medical personnel who have previously completed a 15 hour course in neuromuscular taping.
The Lymphatic kinesiology taping course is attended by therapists from many health care backgrounds, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, registered or licensed massage therapists (with minimum entrance requirements), physicians and other related fields. The Lymph Drainage Course utilizes the CureTape method from Holland. Lymph Taping is a part of the Medical Taping Concept (MTC) and is very well suited to stimulate lymphatic drainage. The body’s own recovery process is stimulated by applying an elastic tape material. The special tape has the same elasticity as the skin and by applying the tape in accordance with the anatomy of the lymphatic system as well as positioning the body in a way that the tape is stretched, lymphatic drainage is stimulated 24 hours a day. The tape lifts the skin a little through which the lumen of the lymph capillaries is opened. The pressure on the blood vessels is reduced. Moreover, the tape becomes a conductor of interstitial fluid.
To deliver the lympathic drainage course, we have partnered with the world-renowned provider of lymph training courses, Dr. Vodder International – a leader in their field.
PEDIATRIC KINESIOLOGY TAPING
The pediatric taping course is designed to instruct therapists and medical personnel in the practical applications and taping techniques MTC® for specific pediatric disorders. Taping techniques for children of all ages will be discussed with specific dvd’s various paediatric conditions being presented. The course is intended for those that work with children (neurological and MSK based case load).
NEUROMUSCULAR KINESIOLOGY TAPING
The Neurology Kinesiology Taping Course is designed for the allied health professional and medical personnel working with neurological patients of all ages.
The practical applications and specific taping techniques MTC® for both adults and children suffering from neurological disorders will be presented.
The course is intended for those that work with patients with neurological disorders.
FASCIA TREATMENT CONCEPTS
Excellent therapeutic results have been achieved with a treatment directed specifically at the fasciae. The following therapeutic treatments are included in this theoretical and practical hands-on course for the treatment of the fascia.
IASTM Tools Therapy (Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization tools). For loosening fascial structures and to mobilize the fascial soft tissue.
Cupping Therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which a therapist puts special silicon cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction. This treatment helps with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and well-being, and as a type of deep-tissue massage.
Myofascial Release Therapy utilizes tools (foam rollers, peanut balls, massage balls) to keep the body flexible through the treatment of trigger points.
Medical Flossing Utilizing latex straps of varying thickness/widths to treat the fasciae. Results include fast relocation/disposal of moisture after a trauma, improved range of motion in joints, reduced muscle tension, pain reduction, lymphatic drainage, and improved tissue perfusion.
EQUINE KINESIOLOGY TAPING
MTC® offers specialized taping courses for equine professionals. The courses are developed in cooperation with equine practitioners with a veterinary and physiotherapy background, professionals from the Animal Health industry and VetkinTape®.
Each course consists of two days (8 hours each), has a mixture of theory and practice and is organized at venues with enough room for practical exercises. During the courses, the instructors will use video’s, pictures and real-life cases.
As part of the course registration a manual, rolls of VetkinTape, scissors and other supporting materials are provided.
CANINE KINESIOLOGY TAPING
MTC® also offers Canine taping courses and has even designed a special size kinesiology tape for this sector (VetkinTape® 3cm x 5m).
The courses are developed in cooperation with canine practitioners with veterinary physiotherapy experience, professionals from the Animal Health industry and VetkinTape®. Kinesiology tape for dogs is -just like taping equine – an addition to the skills portfolio of canine physiotherapists and is used in many applications. It is commonly used for pain relief and improvement of the blood circulation & lymphatic flow.
It is a new & additional technique of veterinary rehabilitation & animal physiotherapy.
“10 years ago most of the therapists thought Medical Taping was a hype. In the meanwhile it became a globally acknowledged & used physio technique. It is an additional and must have treatment method that fits perfectly in every physio professional’s toolkit. I am looking forward to meet you at one of our courses!”
